Welcome To Lux Technical
Considerations/Discussion
You have to remember the sole purpose of this site is to generate business!
There is a difficult balance between providing too much detail – which can be overwhelming and potentially give visitors more opportunity to discount LUX from their shortlist – and not saying very much – leaving them curious for more or them thinking there’s not much to this company.
When considering this, you need to take into account the market you are in, your target customers, what you do, and who you are.
Similarly, you can place the emphasis on showcasing your work to wow and impress OR focus on your target customer groups.
Taking into consideration the outputs from our meetings, looking at your competition and best practices, my recommendation is to tell your story – it is compelling and by the very nature of your work, it is detailed. AND focus on your customers – specifically your target markets.
Remember who you are talking to. Each market may have its own language – subtle terminologies, etc., and different levels of expertise. And they are also likely to have different expectations and concerns you have to address.
Try and reflect this when writing copy.
Notes
It is vital to get visitors to self-identify which market sector they are interested in or they associate themselves with and drive them down that channel as soon as possible.
