The D&B Y7p is a high performance 2-way passive point source loudspeaker that can be used in either horizontal or vertical orientation. It can be pole mounted or flown using dedicated D&B hardware. In standard mode the Y7p has a frequency response of 59Hz to 18kHz with a 400/1600W power handling capacity. It can be driven by either the D20, D40, D80 or D90 amplifier, producing a max SPL of 137dB. 2 of these boxes can be used per amplifier channel.
The Y7p features 2 x 8″ drivers with neodymium magnets and a 1.4″ exit compression driver mounted on a CD horn with a nominal dispersion of 75 x 40 – rotatable through 90 degrees. The sophisticated horn geometry coupled with the bass-reflex port design offers full bandwidth capabilities with and extended LF output.
