A cinema-quality technical delivery for a high-profile TV premiere.
In April 2017, we were commissioned to deliver the only cinema-quality 4K projection and surround sound premierefor the European debut of American Gods, the acclaimed Amazon Prime Video series. Hosted at One Marylebone, London, the event brought together press, industry insiders, and fans for a one-night-only immersive screening experience.
Objectives:
Recreate a true cinema-quality screening environment in a non-cinema venue, ensuring 4K visual fidelity and fully immersive surround sound for a discerning audience.
Brief:
Design, source, and install a complete projection and audio solution, with minimal lead time, to deliver a flawless screening experience for the European premiere of American Gods. The system needed to overcome venue-specific acoustic and space constraints, while maintaining broadcast-level quality.

Project Fulfilment
Concept & Collaboration:
Working directly with Starz, we rapidly coordinated the secure delivery and playback of the 4K content, while designing a robust sound and projection plan to match the creative expectations for the premiere.
Technical Design & Build:
- Projection: Cinema-grade 4K projection system calibrated for perfect colour reproduction and clarity in the venue’s unique architectural space.
- Audio: Bespoke surround sound design to ensure immersive coverage and precise audio imaging, overcoming challenging acoustics.
- Integration: Seamless integration between playback, projection, and audio systems for perfectly timed sync during screening.
Delivery:
From initial planning to on-site installation, every element was delivered under tight time constraints. Our team ensured all playback systems were tested, projection aligned, and sound tuned for maximum clarity and impact — all ahead of schedule.

Personal Insight
Delivering cinema-quality visuals and sound in a heritage venue like One Marylebone is always a challenge, but it’s the kind we relish. The adrenaline of working to such a tight turnaround was matched only by the satisfaction of seeing the audience fully immersed in the American Gods world. The moment the lights dimmed and the first frame hit the screen, it was clear we’d created something truly special.

The American Gods European Premiere was delivered flawlessly, earning praise from the client and production partners:
